The BIGGEST event trends - February 2023
We CAN predict the future! Okay maybe not really BUT..I'm going to share with you the biggest event trends that will be happening in 2023.
These are based on surveys of thousands of event professionals, as well as my own expertise and experience. So, without further ado...

What to expect from events in 2023
Custom backdrops are a great way to add an extra touch to your event. Well if you ask me, I wouldn't put together an event... EVER, without a custom touch. Add a name or play with fonts... ALWAYS. I like to give my party guests something to talk about and 9 times out of 10, it's the custom backdrop. Backdrops are not just a small area for your guests to take photos, they are now the main focal point, so make sure you go BIG!
Balloon installations
Balloon installations are a great way to add color, texture and movement to your event. Balloons can be used as a focal point or to add an element of surprise. Balloons are another popular choice for event decor, but they don't have to be just simple balloons! If you are getting tired of seeing the same old garland shape, try adding several pieces and think outside of the box. If you really want something different than what everyone else is doing this year at their parties or conferences (and let's face it--you do), try mixing & matching different backdrop shapes and allowing balloon pieces to peak through, just like the image below.

My predictions for the most popular event themes
Let's face it, DISCO BALLS will be here to stay! In 2022, gold was the accent color for almost every event, but this years event prediction is SILVER. I say silver will be taking the trophy.
Although Im personally tired of this event theme (sorry) the Teddy bear baby shower will most likely die down mid year but for now, it's still going strong.
My last prediction, heavy color! We will be leaving the pastels in the dust and bringing on sunshine and rainbow themes.
Conclusion
The days of a perfectly uniformed anything.. are gone. In 2023 I expect to see funky shapes and asymmetrical EVERYTHING. I think that we can expect to see more and more events using custom backdrops as they become more affordable and accessible.
